Validation of the Vignette

Obligation and Exceptions
If your motor vehicle has at least four wheels and a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tonnes, you must obtain an electronic vignette before entering a toll motorway.
However, there are vehicles that are exempt from this requirement, such as motorcycles and trailers. These vehicles are not required to have an electronic vignette.

Benefits for Zero CO₂ Emission Vehicles
A nice new feature in 2024 is that vehicles powered only by electricity or hydrogen will be exempt from paying vignettes. These vehicles will be automatically identified by special registration plates that will be assigned to them. Owners of zero CO₂ emitting vehicles will be entitled to this exemption.
